CHINA is the largest country for copper processing & consuming in the world at present, because of the rapid development of economy & market. Being one of the four largest & old enterprise for copper processing in China, Changsha Copper & Aluminum Material Co., Ltd. once to be brilliance in the history, and has made great contribution for the economy constructing. It is the matter to be studied, that is how to make the suitable strategy for competition & development, according to itself condition to adapt to the changeable circumstances caused by the rapid development of private-owned enterprises.Combining with the theory about competition strategic and the instances of Changsha Copper Material Co., Ltd. which is one of the largest enterprises for copper processing in China, and under the guidance of the development for copper processing trade in China, it is studied about the competition strategy for Changsha Copper Material Co., Ltd. A deep investigation and research has been made, and great quantity of latest data and message/information were gathered for it, with the method of combining quantum and quality. In this paper, it is expounded for the theory of competitive strategy and development, by means of PSET law, five-force model, SWOT analysis and strategic factors to make the evaluation for its inside & outside environment condition. All of the factors, which should make influence on the competitive strategic of the company has been considered. It proposes a assumption of the company's competitive strategy and target. And the detail plan for the department obligation/authority, management structure, enterprise culture and competition ability was expounded, which can ensure the effective performance of the competitive strategy. Still, it extrapolates the risk for performing the strategy and suggests how to take step to prevent the risk.This paper takes Changsha Copper Material Co., Ltd. as an instance of larger state-owned enterprise to study how to make the competitive strategy in the changeable circumstance. It is the significant investigation for the similarity enterprises.
