Study On The Hbd Entry Mode Of The Companies Involved In Offshore Fishing

This thesis applies to a research on a special kind of virtually cooperating strategy which has been conducted between the enterprise and small production entities, named herewith as "virtually" backward integration strategy. According to the true case about HBD Ocean Fishing Company's entry into tuna industry, the author has made deep and specific analyses on the above-mentioned strategy, involving the use of many theories such as concepts of core and distinctive competence and virtual integration.Through these analyses, conclusion has been made that the "virtually" backward integration strategy integrates the traits of both the normal virtual integration strategy and the traditional property integration strategy and is applicable to those industries which have excessive suppliers who lack the capability of entering the objective industries by their own. Especially, since this strategy is mainly implemented with the form of "enterprises plus small production entities", which conforms to the requirements of Chinese agriculture's industrial development, it is of great referential value to both incumbent agricultural enterprises and those small or medium-sized potential entrants.
