Current Situation And Development Strategies Of The Domestic Construction Industry In The Post-wto Transition Period

China has entered WTO for 5 years till Dec. 11th, 2006. As the supporting industry of the civil economy, the recent status of construction industry deserves much attention. The following article confirms the positive promoting effect through discussing developing statement of the domestic construction industry in the past 5 years. By the way, we have to face the problems in the developing process. Especially comparing with the mature managing system, the abuse of the domestic construction industry has been exposed. Competing with international contractors in the more open market, the domestic construction industry occupies the obvious inferior position. This negative situation should not be ignored. By the end of interim of WTO, Chinese government will carry out the promise completely. Facing the more open market, Chinese enterprise should combine the domestic characteristics with reference of the overseas' outstanding experiences so as to find more effective strategy. The article tries to put forward the solving strategy separately from the viewpoint of the government and construction company so as to provide some referenced strategy for the rapid progress for domestic construction industry after the interim of WTO. It is hoped that the article shall provide some reference for the developing of the domestic construction enterprises.
