| Shanghai, as an oriental emerging international shipping centre and finance centre, is more and more concerned by many people. This paper hold the opinion that the development of Shanghai's shipping industry and finance industry is related. According to this, this paper tries to analyze the relationship between shipping industry and finance industry, in hope to find the problems of Shanghai and raise some countermeasures.Firstly, this paper introduces the connotation of industrial relevancy, the theory and analysis methods of industrial relevancy.Secondly, this paper introduces the historical origin of Shanghai's shipping industry and finance industry and presents the current situation of the industrial relevancy between Shanghai's shipping industry and finance industry from two aspects. These two aspects are how the finance industry provides the shipping industry with its capital and risk-control tools and how the shipping industry promotes initiation of finance industry.The paper put more weight on the input-output analysis of Shanghai's shipping industry and finance industry. The input-output analysis is used to analyze the 131 departments' input-output table of 2002, Shanghai. Some coefficients is calculated. Based on these coefficients, we can conclude that in 2002, in Shanghai the finance industry provides service to the shipping industry, . while consuming little production of shipping industry.Next part of this paper describes the industrial relevancy of three world famous international shipping centre and finance centre, London, Hong kong and Singapore. Through comparison, it is concluded that there are some problems in Shanghai's shipping industry and finance industry's relevancy.Finally, based on the analysis of the paper, this paper raises some countermeasures to solve the current problems in order to do some devotion to the construction of Shanghai as an international shipping centre and finance centre. |
