The Jibei Economic And Technological Development Zone Investment Marketing Strategy

As an effective carrier to attract investments and fetch in high and new technology, development zones have developed rapidly in the 21st century in China. Now, to most of the development zones in China, the policy advantage has gradually weakened since most of the favorable policies, which development zones shared at the beginning, have been expired, adjusted or cancelled. The emphasis of main development zones in China has been put into connotative improvement instead of conformational expansion.The coming knowledge economy has brought not only enormous opportunities for development zones to obtain further development, but also great challenges as well. Attracting investments from outside world will depend on technology improvement, modern management and creative marketing mode instead of preferential policies.Setting up in 1999, JiBei economic & technology development zone (JETDZ) reached a 30% annual growing rate, it has become one of the quicker development and more competitive zones in ShanDong Province.Based on grasping the knowledge of development construction and attracting investments from the outside world, the following article mainly reviews the foundation, development, position and function of the development zones in China, expatiates the development process, traditional modes and the current situation to attract investment from overseas, and generalizes the great achievements of attracting investments from overseas which JIBEI has obtained in the past few years."This article analyses the features and significances of the marketing for development zones to attract investments and also generalizes the strengths , weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of JiBei development zone.This article expounds that the knowledge and application of marketing are not only the external requirement for Economic and Technology development zones in China under this new situation, but also the key for JiBei development zone to keep the sustainable development and competitive superiority in the future. The article summarizes and analyses some marketing strategy of JiBei development zone to attract investments. Finally, the article gives some advice for JiBei development zone to attract investments.
