The distribution cost is very high in rural as a result of these characters that is the poor infrastructure, the wide distribution range and the small demand. In order to reduce distribution cost, the due date is often extended by household appliances business to increase each distribution valume.But the due date is too long, it not only influences the sales volume of appliances, but also increases warehouse cost. Thus, determining a reasonable due date is very important to increase sales profit for sales enterprises of appliances. For this reason, this paper studies on optimization of the due date of appliance sales in rural.Firstly, sales logistics of household appliance in rural areas is formulated, including the analysis of status, problems and the characters,the composition of warehouse cost and distribution cost during the process of logistics are also analyzed, especially the method of accounting the expenses for warehouse and delivery relating to due date are discussed in detail. Base on the above research, the paper analyzes the four factors,including sales volume, warehouse cost, distribution cost and sales revenue,which are relate to the optimization of due date. Taking account to the traits of separate population and extensive distribution area of countryside, this article divides the distribution cost into two parts:the distribution cost among the towns and the distribution cost inside the towns. The calculation of the distribution cost is a VRP, and a nesting genetic algorithm is designed to solve the VRP problem of calculating the delivery expenses among the towns. As to the calculation of the distribution cost inside the villages and towns, an index-changing function of delivery expenses is defined which considering towns' different delivery environment and quantity of sale volume. By comparing the optimized logistics costs and the daily average sales profits, the due date of appliance sales with the lowest cost and maximum profit is determined as the most excellent one. At last, the article validated the rationality and necessity of optimizing the due date by a specific example.
