Abstract/Summary:
Lean Six Sigma has become one of the most important management methods in the world, and brought great benefits for many enterprises already. Especially, it plays a key role which can't be substitutional in so strict aerospace area. But Lean Six Sigma application studies in aviation area are rare, so people can't get a special understanding for Lean Six Sigma management in aviation under the actual operating conditions. So far, domestic and international aviation field on the study of Lean Six Sigma have stayed on the phase of management theory of qualitative analysis and been mainly through Lean Six Sigma management training to introduce the relevant theoretic steps, but been rare about the real combination of business Case studies. This article first introduces the domestic and international research and application of Lean Six Sigma status, and the Lean Six Sigma management framework in a certain aviation enterprise, mainly in connection with the actual situation of my company regarding DUCT production line assembly, welding improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools to analyze the management of specific steps and methods, experimental design by DOE to improve the DUCT welding process and optimize the welding process and welding parameters. In this paper, the main aim I have studied Lean Six Sigma management case for my own aviation enterprise is to seek from the operational and comprehensible point of view and give people a more intuitive and perceptual knowledge, to become interested in Lean Six Sigma management for people's actual production and life. Thus people can apply Lean Six Sigma management principles and method specifics to continuously improve their work methods, to achieve more significant results.
