Logistics distribution center plays a key role of commodities flow in the modern market, it adopted the transport of goods, storage, loading and unloading, handling, distribution processing, distribution, order processing and information processing work under unified management, and we can greatly reduce the labor intensity of operations, reduce the consumption of goods, improve inventory turns, speed up the circulation of commodities, reduce distribution costs, increase social demand satisfaction, giving consumers more choices. There are many studies for China's logistics distribution center location before. Now this paper focuses more on the decision-making for the location of logistics distribution center in Asia-Pacific region.The U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis has led to the financial turmoil and the global economic crisis. In the global economic crisis, multinational companies are facing difficulties and challenges, the urgent need for multinational companies in the region are to find new, more efficient and lower cost of logistics distribution center to replace the old ones with high cost like Hong Kong, Singapore so that they can enhance the advantages of cost and differentiated advantages. As the study involving the entire Asia Pacific region for receiving and distribution, operation of import and export and national policy on the bonded goods are also considered in the study.This paper with Eastman Kodak Company that has a century-old heritage, and large, typical U. S. companies to analyze, including product characteristics, packaging and sales channel analysis, as well as analysis of suppliers and customers. The first part is to analyze the feasibility of doing an in-depth research on potential location that will become distribution center of Digital Product in Asia Pacific. Meanwhile, consider how to choose the most economical mode of transport base on the lead time needed to fulfill customers'order. Then analyze the logistics cost of potential locations and design models with various facts to explore the complex choices on distribution center in Asia Pacific region and provide advice for decision-making on location during the discussion.In arriving at Kodak's distribution center mode, and further the implementation of the logistics distribution center to provide recommendations, including the operation of the supply chain model, management framework and organizational structure, the location of distribution center, warehouse design, warehouse internal functional areas of supply chain design and operation of the corresponding key to the establishment of evaluation indicators.Through this discussion, given decision-making of site selection and implementation steps, methods and key point regarding the logistics distribution center of Asia-Pacific region for multinationals.
