Leaders'credibility is the key to build a harmonious society. Building the leaders'credibility is important not only for implementation of the party's line, principles and policies, but also for the Chinese Communist Party's long-ruling and the country's long-term stability. At this new situation, China is undergoing deep economic and social transformation, so the social conflicts are multiple and lie in susceptible stage, the ideologies show diverse and multiple features and the credibility of leaders faces enormous challenges. Current research is focused on the credibility of the media, the judiciary, government and other fields, but for research on the credibility of the leaders is still in its infancy. At this context, this paper analyzes the basic concepts, elements and meaning of the credibility of leaders based on existing research results and theoretical knowledge of political science and leadership science from the perspective of theory with practice, and in order to make valuable solutions for the loss of credibility for the current status of leaders.The paper tries to be innovative in the following three aspects: First, at the basis of sorting out the system of the literature, combined with China's political system and current conditions, we tried to summarize the basic concepts of leadership credibility and propose the composition of the leader factor model. Second, to the loss of credibility for the leadership, this paper gives a detailed analysis from the facts of leading environmental, institutional mechanisms and leaders themselves. Third, to the current status of the loss of credibility of leaders, this paper proposed that building the credibility of leaders is a systems engineering, which depends on both the personality of the leader's own appeal and scientific achievements as a guarantee, and the system is more important. This is different from previous studies. Current research on the credibility of leaders focus on the enhancement of their quality and ability and neglects the role which system plays in the protection and supervisory for the credibility of the leader. So, this paper attempts to raise the way and suggestions for building the credibility of leaders from three levels, namely system, leaders appeal and performance, achievements.This paper is divided into two parts: the introduction and body. The body is divided into three parts, from the ideas of raising questions, analyzing problems and solving problems.The first part is general theory about the credibility of the leaders. This part can be divided into three small parts. The first one is a basic definition about the credibility of leaders; The second part is about the constituent elements of leadership;The third part is the value analysis of the credibility of the leaders, especially analysis the significance and practical value of building the credibility of the leaders.The second part is about the loss of credibility of the leader and its reasons. The credibility of the leader is a "Fragile", any slight mistake may lead to the risk of loss and damage. This paper argues that the loss of credibility of leaders have many reasons, such as institutions, mechanisms and leading environmental reasons. It is also because leaders ignore the party spirit, the factors transformation of world view.The third part is about the way to build the credibility of the leader, mainly discussed from three aspects: First, it proposed a robust system to protect the credibility of leaders, from the selection and appointment mechanism of leaders, and perfect the supervision system, improve the evaluation mechanism to protect the credibility of the system; Second, make personal appeal to highlight the credibility of the leader, especially the improvement of leadership skills and moral cultivation; Third, it proposed to enhance the credibility of the leader through scientific achievements. On the one hand the leader should establish a correct view of achievements; on the other hand we also need to promote scientific development through sound assessment mechanism of cadres.
