A port is not only a city or region's pillar industries, and often determine its direction and level of development, a busy port will support a city or region's prosperity.With the steady increase in the national economic situation, the port is fully functional at the same time expanding service capabilities significantly. Port function of transit by the passenger and cargo transport, and gradually to the logistics, trade and industrial expansion. In the traditional handling, transport business based on the port to develop packaging, processing, warehousing, distribution, logistics information services to provide high value-added integrated logistics functions.WNP(Wuhan New Port) is a developing port, It should play its port location advantages, development of port areas around the port industry and modern logistics, followed by the development trend of China's heavy industry, establishment and development of the port increased the intensity of port industry to accelerate the development of regional economic integration process.In this paper, development and construction of WNP as the breakthrough point, the use of port and related theories of regional economic development, Newport and the surrounding areas of Wuhan, the spatial development strategy and look forward to the development of strategies to achieve the objectives of regional integration for further theoretical discussion, but also for Wuhan Port of economic development and regional integration, new research ideas.This paper discusses the development status of WNP, characteristics of regional economic development, and the level of development is predicted throughput. Then introduced several major ports on the economic contribution of the regional approach, and use the DEA method to establish the port-the regional economic evaluation model, evaluation and regional economic contribution of WNP effectiveness, and to establish a combination of qualitative and quantitative AHP/DEA model, by introducing the AHP bound cone, between the WNP and the level of coordination of regional economic analysis and Sustainability Assessment. Finally, the development trend of WNP and development planning in the WNP and the coordinated development of regional economy and measures proposed. |
