| Informationization is the developing tendency of world economy and society. Meteorological informationization is the intending development trend of Meteorological domain."Digital Meteorology" which is proposed as a bran-new concept is the effective part of Digital China. It will make well use of modern information technology and Meteorological information resources including gathering, transferring, storing and processing Meteorological information, which will fully improve the efficiency of Meteorological information.GIS technology can provide effectual tools for the standardization of the management of weather information. So, the design and implementation of GIS-based weather forecast support system is important and essential. An application of ArcGIS-based weather forecast support system is introduced in this thesis. The system is from the requirements of Meteorological Bureau. It uses.Net as development platform and ArcEngine as GIS platform and is based on two-layer structure for data exchange. The functions of the system include managing map layer data, loading and rendering map layers adding the dynamic labels of map layers, querying and locating map layer features, manipulating maps, browsing maps by eagle-eyes and producing hyetographs. The system not only implements the requirement, but also provides more convenient and friendly UI.In this thesis the system development background, the domestic and overseas actualities and the implementation significance are mentioned firstly. After that, GIS and its relative concepts, the development method and technology of GIS are introduced. Then the system design and the implementation of the target system are described with emphasis. In the part of system design, the whole scheme is proposed on the requirement analysis, the main sketch of the system and the realization mentality;in particular, the function design and the database design of the system are given detailed description. In the part of system implementation, methods are introduced about how to implement each module of the system. Finally, system testing and project experience are presented, and some aspects of the system to be improved are pointed out. |
