With the high-tech era, people's work and the Rhythm of life accelerate Continuously. In today's daily life and business activities, most people want to access to the Internet or LAN with high speed in mobile environment,and people may get the information they need with security as in the internal network,and do whatever they want. Therefore,IETF developed a new generation of Internet Protocol----- IPv6 Protocol. In the field of communication technology, Wireless communication has made tremendous progress, Especially Mobile communication.In this case, Mobile IPv6 emerged, the Mobile IPv6 technology as an integral part of IPv6,for the next generation network, especially for the next generation of mobile communication networks, It will have positive and far-reaching impact.Mobile IPv6 supports larger network structure, and it improves the network security and data integrity,and it has functions of automatic configuration, mobile computing, multicast data and more efficient network route aggregation, especially it has function of good support for mobile IP. IPv6 protocol must support mobility,but not in IPv4 protocol, mobility is optional.The first part of this paper showed technical overview and basic content of Mobile IPv6,and compared the IPv6 and IPv4,then pointed out the necessity of IPv6 to replace IPv4,and explained in detail Mobile IPv6.In particular,it introduced the content of Mobile IPv6,including basic concept,basic framework,basic terms,data structure, work procedure,etc.Secondly,the paper Summarized all kinds of security threats and Common assault,then researched and analysised appropriate security mechanisms.The security mechanisms of Mobile IPv6 mainly include:Moble IPSec,Return Routibility Procedure(RRP) which hold the responsibility to protect the communication between MN and CN,Cryptographically Generated Addresses(CGA).The paper emphasize on discussed the above security mechanisms,especially the security communication of between MN and CN,and analysised in detail the security of above security mechanisms.In the final Part,we introduced an open- source simulation software NS-2,and used extension components Mobiwan that mobile IPv6 of based on NS-2.Then to aspects of mobile IPv6 for Mobiwan shortcomings, we improved it and enable Mobiwan to meet the security requirements of RFC3775 ,then we made the simulation experiments. After analysis of simulation results,we verified the correctness of the expansion method.
