Internet based on MIPv6 is the next-generation network, but its application is limited by the secutrity problem caused by the openess of MIPv6. Although the AAA ensures network security, the data transmitted through the network will bring significant safety issues, including the risk of secure transmission of messages. Therefore, creating a safe network channel, and providing adequate protection of information has become a hot topic. Virtual Private Network (VPN) is one of the technologies to solve network informationsecurity proplem..This paper in-depth analyzes the AAA technology for mobile IP and the IPSec protocol, and discusses the binding management and binding mode of the authentication mechanism in MIPv6 environment. In view of the security threat of AAA under MIPv6, we introduced IPSec protocol and analyzed the security threat in IPv6, the IPSec data encryption, the defense against network attacks, protection of the third layer and the features of strategy-based secure protection. Based on the above analysis, we built a test bed to verify the program performance, and introduced the IPSec protocol to improve the safey performance. Then we proposed the VPN built based on Linux and FreeS/WAN to guarantee the safty of the information transmission, which integrated IPSec protocol the into the Linux kernel and establish a safe SA-channel for data transmission. In addition, based on the above, we also proposed a new EPA authentication method, EAP-RSA, demonstrated the comparison and simulation with the EAP-MD5 authentication method and verified the EAP-RSA mutual authentication function, which will provide a more secure protection mechanism for AAA system.
