Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is an effective, speedy, continuous and non-destructive testing technology using broad-spectrum electromagnetism technique for detecting the distribution of underground structures with low cost and high resolution. At present, GPR has been an important part of non-destructive testing technology for layered structures such as road, runway, bridge, tunnel, dam, dike etc. and represents the developing direction of the testing technology for thickness, compaction, void content, moisture content and asphalt content etc. This paper makes the experiment on concrete of different water content Ground penetrating radar (GPR), analyzes the information of reflected wave got in the experiment ,and summarizes the result that water content of concrete has effect on its dielectric property. Then this paper analyzes the experimental data , comes to a formula of the variation law of between Water Content of Concrete and dielectric constant which has implications for engineering investigation. The forward simulation of graphs in the processing of GPR to engineering investigation validates the results preferably. The project cases in this paper are the concrete expression of applied technology of Ground penetrating radar (GPR).Our work is original in the application of GPR to the nondestructive test of reinforce concrete structures and we solve some difficulties that are interesting and hard to settle. So our work has bright future in engineer application. The research result successfully searches the relative inductivity problem of different Water Content Concrete .Through the forward simulation of detect picture of GPR, We can reach a conclusion that the size of bar diameter has hyperbolic effect on the image formation of GPR .And also reach a conclusion that the different dielectric constant has effect on the precision of detecting .The achievements radically solve the key problems of the long-term wander of GPR technology and therefore settle the theoretical groundwork of GPR technology, also supply an advanced, effective and applied technology for the quality assessment and maintenance decision-making for layered structures such as road, runway , tunnel, dam, dike etc. Obviously, the achievements in this paper contribute a lot to promote the development of GPR basic theory and applied technology.
