The paper firstly analyzes the changes of Chinese press ma nagement environment in 2008.As the change in policy, General Administration of Press and Publication abolished 31normative files, which la ys a foundation for better ma nagement of Chinese press andpublica tion industry. The rapid development of new med ia industry such as handsetnewspaper and mobile TV constitutes a challenge to newspaper industry , and the rise ofnewspaper price leads the cost of newspaper business soaring, therefore the profit ofChina's newspaper decreased sharply in 2008, which is a huge impact on Chinesenewspaper industry.Afterwards, the author detailedly analyzes the new trend of newspaper business andma nagement in 2008. First, General Administration of Press and Publication establishedcircuit dia gram and schedule of newspaper reform, for example, the ma in target of 2008 isto require the ma nageria l newspaper office to achieve restructuring; Second, China beganto try out publica tion's admittance system and withdrawing mecha nism. Before analyzingthe new trend of ma nagement, the paper analyzed the fixed price principle of thenewspaper industry, in genera l, the newspaper uses the principle that based on theoverlapping subsidy. And in the aspect of newspaper business, the new trend displa ys asfollows: The rise of loca l newspaper price, it is essentia lly a conspiracy to price; The pressin the newspapers across the region have made new progress , for example, "Liao shenEvening News" established "Liao shen Evening News Tieling version" in Tie ling City; Theinnovation in content of the newspaper, such as using the whole newspaper med iaBusiness Process Reengineering system in Yan Tai; The newspaper med ia group in Chinahave been brewing being listed as a whole, for example, Hubei Daily Media Group ispreparing for back-door listing as a whole. The paper discussed China's newspaper marketstructure in 2008.
