With the development of modern communications technology, image processing and other related technologies, mobile multimedia communications have become a new business. Thanks to audio, video digital and other multimedia, mobile multimedia business achieves real-time audio-video communications between users in different places. Mobile videophone is typical of mobile multimedia business.On the basis of IMS framework, the paper involves key technologies of mobile videophone. IMS framework is illustrated, following which is the comprehensive analysis of key protocols of multimedia videophone and mobile videophone.For the current mobile management does not meet the need of real-time multimedia business, it is of necessity to study mobile dialogue of mobile videophone. To solve the problem, an effective scheme of seamless switching is presented. In contrast to standard SIP mobile solution, seamless switching scheme has the advantages: shorter switching delay, and no packet loss in the switch of application layers. And the scheme is characterized of flexible SIP protocols, no addition of specific devices, no amendment of protocol stack. Therefore, compared with the current SIP mobile solution of IMS, the switching judgment considering users'preference and accepting signals can be more suitable to the features of mobile videophone services, and help users choose the optimal mobile videophone services.To point at the security problem of mobil videophone, a security mechanism from end to end, which is fit for security media layer is presented. In addition, IMSKAAP is used to realize the security from end to end. The mechanism decreases the infulence of SPIT by mutual authentication and satisfies the demand of legal interception. The analysis shows the mechanism can realize secure key exchange whithout additional cost.
