During Enterprise information construction process, a large investment was taken in hardware procurement. How effective and rational management of these investments is a common problem and faced by all enterprises. Facing more and more drastic competition, enterprise attach importance to declining cost, and try to change IT from cost center to center of value. And also with IT expansion, it is make enterprises to improve the management for IT asset continuously. With large amount and dispersed layout of the assets, and increasing number of new devices, the traditional manual management ways, statistics, information collection approach of assets cannot meet the needs of practical work. Also together with out of touch between the user department and maintenance department, IT asset management functions not well implemented, and therefore the use of appropriate solutions for effective IT asset management is an inevitable trend and choice.Today, with the rapid development of information technology, and a reasonable IT asset management optimization and curing process, it is a trend already to use of information processing technology on the daily management of IT assets, which also improve the operational efficiency in IT departments.In this paper, at first it makes overviews of IT asset management concepts, features, and current status in enterprise, and raises the system request. Based on the current manual management ways, the detailed record of asset information and inquiries, statistical functions are optimized and strengthen. Then the technology involved in IT asset management system design was discussed, such as the platform, technical framework, database technology and corresponding development tools. Finally, the general design was approved for the system platform, network architecture, database structure and tables.In order to take full advantage of existing IT investments and simplify the development of the system, based on the Microsoft Active Directory technology, in terms of the single sign-on (SSO) and user permissions are implemented.As no more the data of the system and the number of users, the database and Web server was carried by the existing systems. And the system takes full advantage of existing IT investments, provide smooth user experience. While also introduced the security requirements of the system and its implementation.The system operation is simple, more practical and easy to maintenance.
