Single Sing-On (SSO) system provides a unified mechanism to manage the authentication of users and implement simple portals for user access to application and data. The objective of SSO is to allow users access to the authoritative applications from one logon. It improves user productivity. Users are no longer bogged down by multiple logins and they needn't remember multiple IDs and passwords. As the development of Web technology, users want their systems can be accessed on line. So many web applications were developed to be the front-end of the application systems. To integrate authentication of these web applications means to integrate that of the application systems. This makes possible single-sign on all application system. All the discuss are based on the WEB-SSO system, and it implementated this system using an Open-Source product Central Authentication Service (CAS) into a Content Management System within a Portal.Research background, research content and primary work were introduced. The basic theories and key technologies were itemized, including SSO, LDAP Protocol, Security Authentication, CAS protocol and related technologies. And then we described WEB-SSO module's design and implement in detail, including the CAS module and Zope/Plone architecture. After that, analysised the whole process of the system. Base on this job, we carried on the realization of system's coding and configuration. Finally we tested the whole system inclued CAS Server and CMS Moreover, we summarized total research and developed the project further.
