With the development of power electronics technology, a wide range of nonlinear and time variability of electronic devices in various fields of application is more popular, producing a harmonic power and reactive power to the grid continuously increasing pollution, the power system and users of various levels of harm caused, to raise awareness of the need for harmonic control. Tested active power filter as an ideal harmonic suppression and power factor improvement device is considered as an effective means of such issues, in foreign countries have applied to practical production. At present, research on the development of active power filter has become the focus of research in power system Paper focuses on three-phase four-wire shunt active power filter voltage related content. APF technology is the key to Harmonic and reactive current detection and compensation for current control.There are a variety of harmonic and reactive current detection method, which based on instantaneous reactive power theory of three-phase system of detection is the most widely used method, including the p-q method, ip-iq law, this article using an improved detection method for ip-iq, it can be three-phase four-wire system, a better play. Compensation current control method for active power filter function to achieve the other key links, it is responsible for control of active power filter produce the desired compensation current. To this end this paper, a more advanced deadbeat current control strategy for compensation for its achieve reasonable results.To verify a variety of measurement and control performance and enhance the working principle of the APF understanding, the paper under the power system with MATLAB7.0 SimPower Systems Blockset blocks on the three-phase four-wire shunt voltage has source power filter system is a simulation study, through simulation results show its good effect, through the input of active power filter, power quality improvement. The present work is to use active power filter to further explore the research and development do try.
