Chemistry is a lab-based disciplines. The learning of chemistry knowledge is mainly through chemical experiments and other chemical practices. Experiment is the soul of chemistry, an interal part of Chemistry education.Students' experimental ability is one of the objectives of chemistry teaching,at the same time, it is a way to develop students interest in learning, scientific attitudes toward approach, and scientific capacity. With the new curriculum reform, the proportion of the experiment is obviously increased in teaching materials and even the "experimental chemistry" module is added. The prominent position of experimental teaching can be seen clearly. New demands to the experimental teaching are required by New Standard: experimental teaching is to let students experience the process of scientific inquiry; inspire students interest in chemistry, enhance students' chemical sense of exploration, and it also should be reflected in the college entrance test of the chemical experiments required by the new curriculum.In recent years, with the deepening of the new curriculum reform and the ongoing exploration and research in the chemical experiment teaching by the chemistry education workers, many achievements has been made. But objective conditions and subjective human factors in the reform in the process continue to affect development direction of the new curriculum. Because of China's vast territory, unbalanced economic development between regions, investment in education, the allocation of teaching resources and other aspects are very different. The research of experimental teaching has some limitations and regional limits. There exists an obvious imbalance between urban and rural development of experimental teaching. In some of the more remote rural mountain schools, experimental education has come out of the traditional teaching mode "talk about experiment, then draw it out". Needless to say, it is quite necessary to study in-depth of experiment teaching condition in the mountain schools, find effective way to improve teaching quality and narrow the urban-rural differences. Therefore, the experimental teaching reform needs to continue to explore and deepening further.In this study, the object are two high mountain school in Yongjia. The research is on chemical education in-depth. It is found little emphasis is laid to the experimental teaching in senior middle schools in Yongjia. The rate of experiment-doing is very low.69.6% of the students think that they have done 50% of demonstration experiments;57.6% of the students think that they have done 25% of the students experiments; 6.4% think that they have not done experiments. Obviously, the experimental teaching is unable to realize in the new curriculum teaching education teaching function.Through analysis of the root causes of these phenomena, it can be seen that teachers'teaching concept is very old, and they still advocate the wrong idea,"talking about experiment is better than doing experiment while memorizing the experiment is even better than talking." On those experiment wit-h a certain risk or the results are not apparent, the teachers often choose not to do them; school chemistry lab is simple and there is a serious "lack of instruments and chemic-al reagents" phenomenon; lack of time, the students don't have free time to explore; complete most of the chemical experiments carried out by copying the materials, not really reflect the teaching function of the experiment; experimental teaching material is very boring. The paper is based on the mountain-school teaching problems, combined with the actual school situation,ways to strengthen the laboratory construction is introduced, changing teaching concepts is suggested, and also explanation is given about how innovation can be applied in the not so ideal experimental design and the development of experimental apparatus.Besides, combining their work experience, a few cases of experimental teaching is listed and several teaching practices about the study of teaching method of the experiment is conducted. Hoping it will have reference value in chemistry experiment for mountain high school.
