Blended Learning is a new type of study mode, and it can integrate the advantages of the traditional study way and the e-Leaning study way. It can adequately exert the various strong points of the traditional classroom teaching, the independent research on internet platform and the practical study with the tasks. The object of Blended Learning is to promote learners study better in the background of Education Informatization. Therefore it is very important to research how to apply Blended Learning to the instruction of specific disciplines and the way of integrate Blended Learning and specific displines, in order to advance studying efficiency, rich teaching methods, reform instructional concepts , and promote the learners to achieve the studying tasks and requirements of the disciplines better by using Blended Learning. This paper focused on this point, and discussed it by taking the Ideological and Political Courses in higher education for an example.The ideological and political courses in higher education is the main channel to carry out the ideological and political education to undergraduates, and it is also the important way to cultivate the qualified builders and reliable successors for Chinese characteristics socialism. Especially the "Outline of the Chinese recent and modern history" is greatly significant to enhance the ideological and political education to university undergraduates, and help them comprehend the national, history conditions, and get a deep understanding of Chinese recent and modern history.Based on the research to the points and application modes of Blended Learning, and the combination to the reform history, instructional characteristics and the challenges in teaching programmes, this paper analyzed the advantages of applying Blended Learning to the ideological and political courses in higher education. From the three areas of the courses characteristics and teaching objectives, the students' studying characteristics and demands, and the teachers' teaching characteristics and demands, we carry out the demand investigation and analysis of applying Blended Learning. Followed this we discussed the significances and functions of the informationization study resource construction to Blended Learning combining with the actual conditions of our university, and the application way of the informationization study resource construction in Blended Learning. On these basises we probed into the design and application of Blended Learning in the ideological and political courses in higher education. After making sure the characteristics and relationship of the four elements in Blended Learning, this paper designed the application mode of Blended Learning to teaching courses and practical courses respectively, and also provided the relevant instructional instances.Finally, this paper summarized the harvests and shortages during the research, provided some common issues during the applications of Blended Learning, and looked forward to the further researches on this area, that is to carry out the comparative study on the application affection of Blended Learning in various types of subject courses, and establish a series of indicators to the evaluate the application of Blended Learning to make sure Blended Learning more scientific and effective.
