Ordinary high school history textbooks is the main curriculum resources in history teaching carrier, as a communication bridge between history curriculum and curriculum implementation , the compiling of history textbooks reflect the purposes of historical education and developmental trends.Since the new curriculum reform, ordinary high school history textbooks are constantly trying to prepare a history textbook which is more suitable for students study, showing a trend that the history textbook focus on students self-learning rather than teachers'teaching. Compared with previous high school history textbooks in People's Education Publishing press, the new edition high school history textbooks have got great changes both in form and content. People's Education Press, 2004 edition of the regular high school history textbooks, reflects the features of "learning material" in some ways."Learning material" of history textbooks is pay more attention to "The education of students as the center ", and make the student learning and the students themselves linked closely, according to the cognitive characteristics of students and their own interesting and shift the history textbooks to facilitate student learning, The development of curriculum theory provide basic reference for Ordinary History Textbook's writing and guidelines as well.The writing of "Learning material" history textbooks, whether its choice of intellectual content, or content structure of the arrangements, are designed to help students learning as well as textbook lessons auxiliary systems. Making the textbook help students to prepare a more independent learning, inquiry-based learning, and cooperative learning. In addition, the using of textbooks need teachers change their educational concepts. Only in this way, "learning material" of history textbooks can it play its role.
