Abstract/Summary:
This article mainly made a comparative study of the transmission mode about Christianity and Buddhism since they came into China, and wanted to make an interpretation about Christianity and Buddhism's transmission mode.By making a comparative study of the transmission mode about Christianity and Buddhism, I explored the reasons why significant differences presentid about Christianity and Buddhism in a modern China.The main content of this study is divided into four parts:The first part of the article did a brief overview about the development of Christianity and Buddhism, their evolutions, their developments and evolutions since they came into China, and the developments in contemporary China.By understanding their histories and description of the status quo, we can have an intuitive understanding of Christianity and Buddhism.The second part mainly compared the differences of the transmission mode about Christianity and Buddhism in early times.There is a big difference between Christian-owned cultural system and the Chinese culture, so when introduced into, the process of going through a difficult to get the Chinese people's recognition and acceptance. The introduction of Buddhism into China, with a native of Taoism combined into a sleeker, Chinese culture, a relatively smaller resistance. In the mode of transmission, the early Christian missionary means attaches great importance to the use of the Bible translation, medical missionary, science and technology missionary, run church schools to help training followers,carry out charitable causes, and so on, to expand the scope and the influence of Christian.The spread of Buddhism mainly focused on the road of peace, the main use of traditional Chinese culture and the power of the feudal monarchy to be spread.The third part of Christian and Buddhist books for the study.Books are the main vehicle for religious teachings, which is very important mode of transmission.Only the Christian Bible, the only classic, but the style of the Bible form patterns with the changes in Chinese society and culture changes in the development and timely change, were showing great flexibility.The Bible, whose contents was easy to read, reading level suitable for different cultures. Buddhist scriptures and the fragmentation of an over-abundance, and Buddhist scriptures from beginning to end the use of ancient Chinese classical Chinese writing on the body, esoteric Buddhist doctrines. Moreover, abstruse difficult to understand, to the believers in reading and understanding a lot of inconvenience, which made a large influence on the spread of Buddhism and development.The fourth part of the Christian and Buddhist groups in study. Through comparing the means of communication with groups between Christianity and Buddhism and religious believers recognize the interaction between the observation and groups, the article came to a conclusion that the means of communication with groups between Christianity and Buddhism's propagation play a role significantly. Christian ritual is simple and easy day-to-day practicing Catholics. Buddhism focuses on the individual experience, is private, the proliferation of faith-based approach, it is difficult to emphasize the organizational capacity of groups, religious awareness among the groups, the recognition of the Buddhist groups corresponding weaker.
