Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate preoperative evaluation and surgical operation election in soft tissue sarcomas in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas (STS) with the surgical operation, by retrospective analysis of 80 case of soft tissue sarcoma. Methods: Collected clinical data of 80 soft tissue sarcoma cases From Dec 2005 to Dec 2009, and divide into two group, the elementary group and the recurent group. Respectively evaluate the clinical character the image the histological type and the surgical grade, according to the different results of evaluation, Respectively performe compartment resection. proverbially resection and barrier resection. Partly repair and replantation. Use survival rates. Relapses rates and metastases rates as curative effect guide line. Use SPSS17.0 software box and life-chart analysis. Results: The results of clinical data: 52 cases with the elementary group and 28 cases with the recurent group, 49 cases with lower limbs, 16 cases with upper limb, 8 case with gluteus maximus, 4 case with shoulder, 3 case with scapular district. recurrent times are 1 to 4 in variety, 5 cases of 1 times, 10 cases of 2 times, 10 cases of 3 times, 3 cases of 4 times. All the limbs of this group with such tumors were preserved. 30 cases were performed compartment resection. 3 cases were performed deltoid muscle ablation 4 cases were performed along with nerve ablation 5 cases were performed gluteus maximus barrier resection, 50 cases were performed proverbially resection, include 13 cases were performed barrier resection. Function reconstruct tendon substitution nerve repair and replantation vascular reconstrction and the myocutaneous flap transposition were prosecuted in 18 case. We followed up the 80 patients in the range of 10 to 48 months, 55 cases survived without sarcoma relapses or metastases(68.75%), there are 15 occurred local recurrences(18.75%), 6 occurred distant metastases(7.5%). 7 death, average recurent time was 14 months. The overall survival rates for 1, 3 years were 98.07%, 85.30% respectively. Conclusion: According to clinical results of The 80 patients, through preoperative evaluation and scientific set down surgical approach procure satisfactory clinical results. Consequently, preoperative evaluation and surgical approach election are so important to soft tissue sarcomas treatment. Reduce tumor remain and recurrence and metastases as well as reduce and prevent postoperative neopathy accordingly prolong patient survival time and improve patient lives which can guide diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue sarcoma accumulated experiences for further study.
