Objective: To determine the risk factors for the rupture of pulmonary hydatid cyst. Methods: Retrospective analysis of 189 patients who were operated on from Jan 1995 to Oct. 2009, the clinical data of those patients were orbicular. The dependent variable were the rupture of pulmonary hydatid cyst. 14 frequent risk factors were analyzed by univariately analysis and by multiple logistic discriminant analysis. Results: Occupation, To diagnose by the first time, Cough, Complicated by respiratory disease, The infection of pulmonary hydatid cyst, Hypoproteinemia and Complicated by hydatid cysts of other organs were associated with the rupture of pulmonary hydatid cyst (P<0.05). Complicated by respiratory disease (OR=8.414), The infection of pulmonary hydatid cyst (OR=4.435), Cough (OR=4.193), Occupation (OR=2.659), To diagnose by the first time (OR=2.612) were independent risk factors for the rupture of pulmonary hydatid cyst. Conclusions: Complicated by respiratory disease, The infection of pulmonary hydatid cyst, Cough, Occupation, To diagnose by the first time were independent risk factors for the rupture of pulmonary hydatid cyst.
