Objective:To investigate the expression and clincopathological meaning of P53, C-erbB-2 and E-cad oncoproteins in gastric carcinoma. Methods:The patients diagnosed finially with gastric carcinoma and reciving radical surgery from January to December in 2004 were selected, All the specimens of gastric carcinoma were paraffin-embedded and dyed by H-E.Oncoprotein of P53, C-erbB-2 and E-cad of gastric cancer was deteted with immunohistochemical staining. Result:The positive rates of P53 expression in specimen of gastric carcinoma was 50.80%(63/124), which was higher than that in specimens of gastric mucomembra nenearby carcinomas 28.12%(27/96) (P<0.05);The positive rate of C-erbB-2 expression in specimen of gastric carcinoma was 54.84%(68/124), which was higher than that the positive rates of the gastric of mucomembra nenearby carcinomas 6. 25%(6/96) (P<0.05), The positive rates of E-cad expression in specimen of gastric carcinoma was 32.26%(40/124), which was higher than that the positive rates of the gastric of mucomembra nenearby carcinomas 70.83%(68/96) (P<0.05); There was no relation between the positive expressions of P53 and c-erbB-2. The positive expressions of P53 and E-cad showed negative relationship. The positive expressions of C-erbB-2 and E-cad showed negative relationship. Conclusion:The studies suggest that expression of the P53, C-erbB-2 and E-cad in patients suffered from gastric cancer was valuable to expect the prognosis and can help to determine degree of gastric cancer and metastatic potential of gastric cancer.
