The Clinical Experiment Study Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy On The Hypertension Patients

The prevalence of hypertension in China is very high.Basing on the investigation of the national nutrition and health in 2002,the estimated prevalent patients with hypertension had exceeded 160 million in China.The long-time of elevated blood pressure level can lead to atherosclerotic change of body,and also had bad effect on the heart,brain and kidney disease,resulting in many syndromes.Facing to the higher prevalence rate and serious syndromes,the control rate of hypertension was very lower. Only 6.1%of the hypertension could be cured or controlled in the normal range by antihypertensive medication.In the past,many patients with hypertension or the clinical doctors preferred the western medication to treat the hypertension patients.In order to lower the blood pressure level to the normal range,the dose of western medication was always adjusted frequently.So the fluctuating range of blood pressure was also very wide,Sometimes the blood pressure could rebound.Besides these,some syndromes,such as headache, vertigo,top-heavy,insomnia and fidget may arise.So the compliance of taking drug was lower.Now,more and more people want to choose traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology to control the blood pressure level.Traditional Chinese medicine treatment was based on syndrome differentiation and emphasized the treatment of whole body,so the curative effect is much better.It not only can lower the blood pressure,but also can cure the syndromes,including headache,vertigo,top-heavy, insomnia and fidget.So the traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology has a good perspective in therapy of hypertension. In order to explore the effect of jiangyabao 00(a kind of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology) among the patients with borderline blood pressure or the patients with gradeⅠhypertension,this study was carried on.The random,control and blind methods were used in the clinical trial.Nifedipine Taroly-released tablet was used as positive control.By analyzing the changing trend of blood pressure and the syndromes of study participants,the compliance of taking drug and the bad-effect events,we aimed to provide a scientific basis to the therapy of hypertension.At the same time,these results will provide a reference to the therapy of gradeⅡorⅢhypertension patients.Methods630 study participants were chose in the clinical trial,who received the therapy from June,2005 to september,2005.Among them,146 patients were hypsi-normal blood pressure group,the other 484 patients wereⅠ-grade hypertension patients.STATA9.0 was used to allot the 630 study participants into two groups randomly.In hypsi-normal blood pressure group,72 patients were assigned to A group(30mg/time,bid),receiving jiangyabao 00 and 74 patients were assigned to B group(20mg/time,bid),receiving Nifedipine Taroly-released tablets.InⅠ-grade hypertension patients,235 patients were assigned to A group(30mg/time,bid),receiving jiangyabao 00 and 249 patients were assigned to B group(20mg/time,bid),receiving Nifedipine Taroly-released tablets.In the baseline,the information of blood pressure and its effecting factors score,the score of syndromes were collected.2,4,6,8,10,12 weeks after taking drugs,the blood pressure were measured repeatedly,and the score of syndromes were also collected repeatedly.At the end of follow-up,surplus drug information,adverse effect events were collected.Triple blind method was used in the study so as to reduce the information bias.All the statistical analysis was carried on SPSS 12.0,the statistical methods include repeated measurement analysis of variance,paired t test and chi-square test,the significant level was 0.05.Results1.hypsi-normal blood pressure group: (1) Main curative effect indexes:There has statistical significant of the systolic blood pressure(F_组别=0.017,p＞0.05;F_时间=47.442,p＜0.001) and diastolic blood pressure (F_组别=0.001,p＞0.05;F_时间=59.25,p＜0.001) between two groups on different time points.(2) Secondary curative effect indicators:There is no statistical significant of the score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome,F_组别=0.259,p＞0.05, F_组别=26.747,p＜0.001.(3) Electrocardiogram monitoring and biochemical indicator:The heart effect between the two groups had no statistical significant after taken the drugs,x²=1.317,p＞0.05. There is no statistical significant in total cholesterol(t=0.912,p＞0.05),in triglyceride (t=0.499,p＞0.05),in high density lipoprotein cholesterol(t=0.439,p＞0.05).(4) Safety analysis indicators:There is no statistical significant in red blood cell (t=0.171,p＞0.05),in white blood cell(t=0.260,p＞0.05),in heamoglobin (t=0.260,p＞0.05).2.hypertension group:(1)Main curative effect indexes:There has statistical significant of the systolic blood pressure(F_组别=0.068,p＞0.05;F_时间=233.608,p＜0.001) and diastolic blood pressure(F_组别= 8.400,p＞0.05;F_时间= 282.80,p＜0.001) between two groups on different time points.(2)Secondary curative effect indicators:There is no statistical significant of the score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome,F_组别=0.183,p＞0.05, F_时间=192.422,p＜0.001.(3)Electrocardiogram monitoring and biochemical indicator:The heart effect between the two groups had no statistical difference after taken the drugs,x²=2.986,p＞0.05. There is no statistical significant in total cholesterol(t=0.521,p＞0.05),in triglyceride (t=0.198,p＞0.05),in high density lipoprotein cholesterol(t=1.106,p＞0.05).(4) Safty analysis indicators:There is no statistical significant in red blood cell (t=0.628,p＞0.05),white blood cell(t=0.259,p＞0.05) and heamoglobin (t=0.897,p＞0.05).ConclusionsJiangyabao 00 can lower the blood pressure whether to patients with the hypsi-normal blood pressure orⅠ-grade hypertension durative.And the effect of Jiangyabao 00 can compare with the western drug Nifedipine Taroly-released tablets.At the same time,the bad-effect of Jiangyabao 00 is lower and the compliance of taking drug is higher.So the Jiangyabao 00 has a good perspective in the clinical.
