Preliminary Study On Qualitative Characteristic Spectra And Optimal Prescription Of Traditional Chinese Formulated Medicine-xilei San

Xilei-San,a traditional Chinese medicine,is composed of seven crude drugs: indigo naturalis,bomeolum syntheticum margarita,calculus Bovis,elephant-tusk scraps,uroctea compactilis,and human nail.It was firstly recorded in Jin Kui Yi written by Zai-Jing You in Qing Dynasty.Its function is to cleare away heat;remove toxic materials and eliminate putridity.In traditional usage,it is efficacious for ulcer of oral mucosa,stomatitis,acute pharyngitis and laryngitis,abscess of retropharynx and acute epiglotti- ditis,etc.Modern clinical application showed that recurrent oral ulcer and ulcerative colitis were its major indications.There are few researches into Xilei-San's global quality control index,active material foundation and precious medical materialresources up to now.So we plan to start from these three aspects The major content of this study is as following:(1) Infrared spectrum research of Xilei-SanCollected products from different manufacturer and prepared test specimen which removed the corresponding raw material from global formula(Jianwei Xilei-San)as well as the uroctea coal substituted by other charcoal medicine.Test result showed that it is difficult to distinguish different manufacturer products from each other as well as the substitution sample because of a high degree similarity.It is easy to distinguish global formula from Jianwei Xilei-San for their difference is obvious.(2) SDS-PAGE electrophoresis research of Xilei-SanWe used the SDS-PAGE electrophoresis to analyze the global formula and it's composition.The results indicated that the test condition is very easy to be disturbed, so it is difficult to control experimental condition.(3) Research of difference in male and female nails' chemical constituentWe compare and distinct of male and female nails with thin layer chromatography,gas phase chromatography and infrared spectrometry.The result confirmed that male and female nails have certain difference in the chromatograph characteristic.(4) Research of Uroctea coal's activity and substitution resourcesThe hemostasis,analgesic,anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities of six charcoal drugs(charred wall spider marsupium,Charred human hair,Charred radix sanguisorbae,Charred cacumen platycladi,Crinis trachycarp,Charred nodus nelumbinis rhizomatis) were tested by bleeding time with cutting tail model,acetic acid induced mice stretching reaction,dimethyl benzene induced mice ear edema tes tand in vitro bacteriostasis experiment,respectively.The results indicated that Charred radix sanguisorbae,Charred cacumen platycladi,Crinis trachycarp and charred wall spider marsupium could significantly reduced the bleeding time in mice;Charred radix sanguisorbae,Charred human hair and Charred nodus nelumbinis rhizomatis could significantly inhibit acetic acid induced mice stretching reaction;Charred wall spider marsupium,Charred radix sanguisorbae and Crinis trachycarp could significantly inhibit dimethyl benzene induced mice ear edema,sterilizing effect of Crinis trachycarp,Charred cacumen platycladi and Charred human hair are better than that of other's.(5) Research of Xilei-San and its addition and subtraction formulaActive comparison of xileisan and its addition and subtraction formula through Chronic skin ulcer animal pathology model.The result indicated that each group is effective to the chronic skin ulcer and effects of basic formula and basic formula plus gossamer urocteae are remarkable.
