On The Problems And Strategies Of Hospitals' Privatization Process In Provincial Capital Cities

Medical and health services, one of the most concerned problems on people's livelihood, played a very important role in the public's health and life. It had been for a long time that the medical resources in china had been under the control of the government, with non-profit government- funded public hospitals. However, with the development of economic globalization, the healthcare market in china began to be more and more international. With the emergency of variety of social forces into the field of public healthcare, the old medical services system under government monopoly was faced with more and more challenge, while the shortcoming of public hospitals was coming more and more obvious and the social conflict was becoming sharper and sharper. It had been proven that privatization of governmental hospitals should be not only the demand of development of market economy but also the important method to deepen the reform of medical and health system. The research about problems and strategies of governmental hospitals'privatization process should be important social and practical significance on rational distribution of medical resources, bettering of the public health and people's life quality, and easing the social problem about difficult and expensive medical treatment in some degree. The aim of this study is to analysis the problems during the privatization process of provincial capital city hospitals in Fuzhou, with such methods as documentary, case analysis and comparison, combined with the theory on privatization of public service, and then lead to general conclusion from the case about the common problems on the privatization process of provincial capital city hospitals, in order to find out the way to solve the problems, which might be some practical significance on the settlements of the problems on the hospitals' privatization in provincial capital cities.
