Observation On The Decoction Of Wu Ling Powder In The Conservative Treatment Of Traumatic Communicating Hydrocephalus Patients

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of the decoction of Wuling Powder in the treatment of the traumatic communicating hydrocephalus and to explore its mechanism.Methods:Select 59 cases of patients with traumatic communicating hydrocephalus ,and randomly assigned them to two groups,30 cases in treatment group were given Western conservative treatment, while taking the water decoction of Wuling Powder. The 29 cases inControl group were given simple line of Western conventional conservative treatment. All of the patients after treatment were requested regular review of brain CT for 12 months. Then we observed the ease of the retention of CSF, the reductione of intracranial pressure which we measured when we take lumbar puncture for the patients, the change of renal function which we measured when we take blood tests.And we compared the changes in clinical status and the quality of life of them before and after the treatment.Then we compare the number of cases need to re-treatment or even surgical treatment.Results:In the same premise of conservative treatment, the efficacy of the group which were given comprehensive treatment was effective than the other one.For the treatment group,the effective rate of the lower VCR was 90.00%,48.27% in the control group, the difference between the two was significant (P<0.05). The total response rate of high intracranial pressure in the treatment group was 80.00%.While in the control group, the total response rate was 44.44%(P<0.05).The damage rate of the renal of the patients in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group.Clinical status improvement rates were 83.33% and 51.72%,there was a significant difference between the two. And the relapse rate after treatment of the treatment group were significantly lower than the latter.Conclusion:The decoction of Wuling Powder is a very good treatment options for the traumatic communicating hydrocephalus. It will be a good choose if we take this methods combined with western conventional conservative treatment.Traditional Chinese medicine can effectively reduce the hydrocephalus, alleviate the patient's symptoms, and can effectively improve the overall quality of their life.
