Analysis Of The Physical Constitution Of 200 Patients Suffering Chronic Urticaria

Objective:To differentiate the types of patients suffering chronic urticaria firstly. Then, to some extent, to rich the prevention of diseases at aspect of epidemiology, according to the distribution of constitution above.Methods:We conducted questionnaire survey and made clinical observation of patients suffering chronic urticaria, who paid visits to our out departments. And then we judged the types of their physical constitution through the data collected, according to the standard of classification and judgement of physical constitution of TCM introduced by Institute of Chinese Medicine in april 9th,2009. Finally, we found the relationship between sex, age, occupation, symptoms etc. and the physical constitution of chronic urticaria.Results:(1)The female patients of chronic urticaria are more than the male; (2) The male patients often suffer chronic urticaria at their 21 to 30-year old, thus the female at 21 to 40, and more than the half of patients who are 51 to 60 always suffer delayed healing. (3) The distribution of physical constitution of male patients is concentrated, the number of heat-dampness type is most, the second are yin-deficiency and qi-deficiency type. The distribution of female patients is decentralized, deficient type occupied more. During the types, the qi-deficiency type played the most important role and yin-deficiency and heat-dampness type are in the next place. (4) The concrete distribution of the 200 patients of chronic urticaria are as followings:yin-deficiency type(57 patients,28.5%);heat-dampness type(53 patients, 26.5%);qi-deficiency type(51 patients,25.5%);qi-stagnation type(15 patients,7.5%);yang-deficiency type(10 patients,5%);blood-stasis type(8 patients,4%); phlegm-dampness type(6cases,7.5%). (5) deficient type and blood-stasis type often happen to the patients suffering the disease more than 2 years.Conclusions:The female patients of chronic urticaria often have the deficient types of physical constitution, thus sthenia pathologic constitution plays more important role in the male patients. The frequent age of patients suffering chronic urticaria is 21 to 41, which is related to the diet, life style, pressure causing by study and work of patients at this age. The distribution of types of physical constitution in such age is concentrated, thus it is decentralized in other age.
