Arbuscular mycorrhizas(AM) is the most widespread mycorrhizae type in the world which can infect 90 percent of the plant. The fungi part of arbuscular mycorrhizas is called arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF). Arbuscular mycorrhizas can increase the absorb longth and area of the plant root, increase the nutrition supply and increase the resistance ability of many stress. Lot's of research had improve that AM can increase the dry weight of medical palnt, and secondary metabolites as well. Although AM has a expansive outlook but it is only on the firststage of research, and the basic research is also limited. This article focus on the basic research methods of AM in medical plant.This article reviewed the researched present situation of AM in the domestic and foreign and concluded the methods of inoculate and evaluation in medical plant. Researched the AMF species in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. rhizosphere. Researched the pot culture and the sand culture methods of AM. Researched the selectivity infection of AMF in the medicinal plants. Researched the effect of AM huangqin in heavy metal soil. The main result is as follows:1. Scutellospora, Gigasporaceae, Glomus, Entrophospora had found in the Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge rhizosphere soi. The spores culture through the single spores culture method.4 spices was found in 25 pot.2. Glomus versiforme, Glomus aggregatum had produced more spores than other AMF. The number of spores Glomus mosseae is only 500. The spores of Glomus constrictum is not found.3. In the experiment found that 6 AMF and 4 medical plant have a unstrict selective. Glomus mosseae and Glomus intraradice have a higher effected rate of all 4 plant and Ocimum basilicum non L. had a high effected rate of 6 AMF.4. Heavy metal had several significant effects on Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, first heavy metal reduced the seedling root length, seedling fresh weight, the germination rate, germination energy. But some concentration have increased the germination rate, germination energy and fresh weight. When AMF effected the Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Glomus mosseae, Glomus intraradices, Glomus claroideum, Glomus constrictum can make the Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi flower precede. Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae can significant increase freshwight of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi both in shoot and root. AM did not effect the secondary metabolites.This paper around the medicinal plants AM launched a series of research and provides the basis of AM in medicinal plants.
