A superior breed is the basis of the tobacco leaf development and the tobacco leaf is the condition on which cigarette industry relies for survival and development so that a lot of advanced leaf roll industrial enterprises take breed cultivating very seriously by the fact that ameliorating a breed is to realize an important approach of tobacco leaf development in the world, and variety has been the subject of tobacco leaf development.Yong Zhou is an important tobacco leaf production area in Hunan province with 13333.33 hm2 tobacco cultivating every year, and in recent years, with the extension of cultivating history and area of yunyan87, the problem of flue-cured tobacco variety has become more and more obvious, on one hand the breed's excessive singleness is to bring about the trend that tobacco leaf style has to tend towards an assimilation and original style loses gradually, on the other hand it would have very big effects on the security of the tobacco leaf production.In order to prevent Yong Zhou tobacco area's cultivating the breed excessiveness from being singleness and guarantee Yong Zhou tobacco leaf's sustainable development, in recent years we have adopted self breeding and introducing new varieties to Ning Yuan county, Xin Tian county, Jiang Yong county and Lan Shan county-4 counties representative ecology experimental area in Yong Zhou tobacco area to reserve and sift flue-cured tobacco variety suitably cultivated in Yong Zhou tobacco area. The research results showed that:1. In 2009, an experiment were carried out on the nine breeds of KRK26,9511, guiyan4, yunyan97, yunyan203, xiangyan1, HY-9-7, LFK326, K326 (CK), the results showed that:KRK26,LFK326's growth stage is relatively longer and leaf is relatively more so they are difficult to adapt to the producing conditions of Yong Zhou tobacco area in reality while the growth period and the leaf number of other breeds are rational.The yield and product value, high and middle grade leaf ratio of HY-9-7 is maximal; the average price and super class leaf ratio rank second; synthetical economy properties rank first; the average price and super class leaf ratio of yunyan97 rank first; its product value rank second; its synthetical economy properties rank second. Guiyan4's yield rank second, its product value, average price, super class leaf ratio and high and middle grade leaf ratio rank third.These 3 breeds show fairly good adaptabilities in every experimental area and each economic properties index overall evaluation is good or fairly good.The appearance of flue-cured leaf of HY-9-7, yunyan 97, guiyan4 is fairly good and the color of their flue-cured leaf is mostly orange.2.The successive experiment on HY-9-7, yunyan 97, guiyan4 carried out in 4 Yong Zhou tobacco experimental areas for 2 years(2008-2009) indicates the fact that synthetical economy properties of HY-9-7 rank first, and the overall evaluation is very good.Synthetical economy properties of guiyan4 rank second, and the overall evaluation is fairly good; yunyan 203's synthesis economy properties is not ideal, the total overall evaluation is relatively poor.3. In 2009, the larger area demonstration experiment in Yong zhou tobacco area explains that the overall economic traits of HY-9-7 with good promotional value is similar to the current Yunyan87 which is planted largely.In short, the successive experiment carried out in 4 Yong Zhou tobacco experimental areas for 2 years showed that HY-9-7, guiyan4 succeed yunyan 87 in Yong Zhou tobacco area and they can be appropriate extension. Yunyan 97'overall valuation is fairly good, and does the reserve breed,but it continues an experiment.
