The Digital Storage Oscilloscope(DSO) is an indispensable instrument in modern testing field, can display the time-domain characteristics of measured signals intuitively, it widely used in various fields.The digital multimeter(DMM) have many measure functions, characteristics of small size, operation simplely and high accurancy, this make DMM become one of the most widely used tools in electronic measurement fields.Hand-held digital oscilloscope have both all measurement functions and technical characteristics of DSO and DMM, it have small size, light weight and low power consumption, especially suitable in the wild and maneuvering situation.At present, foreigh hand-held digital oscilloscope company hold the monopoly status in the market, but domestic research started late and can only design the low-end products.The topics raised in this context, is a cooperate project of my department and a foreigh company.This paper is the software design based on the project of hand-held digital oscilloscope, which has the core of embedded digital processor (ADSP-BF531), uses the framework of DSP and FPGA, and processes under the Visual DSP + + platform of ADI Company. This project adopted the modular design, the detail design introduced as folwing:1. Design driving software of storage and display, keyboard interface module:It emphasized the read/write control of Flash and high speed FRAM with I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) interface, which used to storage waveform data and setting, proposed a reasonable method to decrease the time of read/write and erase to the block of Flash, waveform displaying module used ping-pong method to improve displaying efficiency, design keyboard interface and realize normal press, long press, composite keys response.2. Auto-calibration and Auto-set modules: Auto-calibration can set appropriate parameter to hand-held digital oscilloscope, satisfy design target and mass production. By using the auto-set function, users can make the DSO display waveform of unknown signal quickly and conveniently.3. Ditital multimeter (DMM) module: Design the hardware and software of 6000 counts DMM, which has auto range measure and manual range measure modes. Include DC/AC voltage, DC/AC current, resistor, diode, connectivity and capacitor measure functions.4. Update module: users can update the system software with USB equipment.
