Planning And Design About Conservation And Expression Of Tang Daming Palace Site

Tang Daming Palace Site is the largest and most magnificent imperial palace site of Changan City in Sui and Tang dynasties, it is also the centre of domestic and foreign affairs after middle Tang Dynasty, the sites of Tang imperial palace wall are the very important parts of the site of Tang Daming Palace and the main representation of its scale, shape and style, and pattern. This paper mainly discussed the conservation and exhibition design strategy of the sites of Tang imperial palace wall, and did conceptual layout and design for the concrete conservation and the way of expression.Firstly, based on the research of historical document and archaeological excavations, the history of ites of imperial palace wall, the archaeological findings of imperial palace wall, and the discussion of the real scale, historical pattern and the shape of it. This paper evaluated the value of cultural relics of sites of imperial palace wall. By reviewing the conservation progress of imperial palace wall, some field investigation about current conservation, this paper presented a problem that when people research the conservation and expression of imperial palace wall would face.Secondly, by analyzing current conservation of large scale site in our country, summarizing the theory and practice of conservation of internal sites of wall, and the research on the relative layout of Daming Palace Site, determined the target position of sites of imperial palace wall' s conservation and expression, i.e., the wall of the site conservation, the wall of large site pattern, the wall between wall relics park and the city limits. The conservation and expression of sites of imperial palace wall should give consideration to the conservation and expression of site, Xi' an City, the conservation of pattern of the city, in which Daming palace site is located, the construction of the relics park and urban benefit, etc.Thirdly, this paper mainly discussed 3 elements of conservation and expression: the overall conservation of sites of imperial palace, site, and the expression of site, and did conceptual layout and design for the concrete conservation and the way of expression. There into, the overall conservation is the solution of the overall conservation of Daming palace of Tang dynasty and the conservation of historical pattern of Xi' an ; the conservation of sites discussed the conservation measure of soil sites. For different kinds and situation of the sites , this paper discussed the ways of conservation. The part of expression summarized the expression mode of palace wall and palace gate, and discussed the specific expression mode of each district based on overall pattern expression.At length, for the sites of imperial palace wall as the relationship between Tang Daming Palace Nation Site Park and outside city, this paper discussed the function of conservation and expression of the sites of imperial palace wall in Tang Daming Palace Nation Site Park management, as well as the potential urban benefit.
