As an important component of the air defense missile, fuse is mainly to complete the mission of detecting targets in the missile terminal and detonating warhead in good time. Because its tactical and technical characteristics and plan have the great influence on the overall efficiency of the air defense system and its requirements of the plan and performance in the system must meet ones of the system.Firstly, the background and developing trends at home and abroad of this project are presented. The selection rules of the operational systems of fuse have been defined via the overall plan of the weapon system in this paper. Then, the basic operational principles of the continuous-wave Doppler, continuous-wave frequency modulation, pulse and pulsed-Doppler and false random pulsed-Doppler systems compositely modulated are depicted and the probability of the distance cutoff of fuse is analyzed. Lastly, the overall plan of design of the certain fuse is defined in combination with one of the system.The main parameters of the antenna system for fuse are analyzed and designed. The plan of the antenna is defined and the antenna system is initially simulated and optimized by the analyzed results.The overall plan of design for the receiving and transmitting system of the linear frequency-modulated fuse is completed according to the requirement of miniaturization of devices in the weapon system. The program of the overall engineering design plan for fuse is completed via computation and distribution of the frequency-modulated parameters and sensitivity of the system for fuse with the riper digital technology and engineering experience.The ranging error of the linear frequency-modulated fuse plan is analyzed and computed through the defined frequency-modulated parameters and engineering experience. The performance of fuse in the low-altitude safety is simply analyzed with the use of the concept of the signal-to-clutter ratio. The improved aspects are initially pointed out according to the drawbacks in the presented plan.
