In recent years, research of Wide-area Measurement System, which is based on synchronized phasor measurement, has become a popular subject, because of its advantages in enhancing the security and stability of power system. Synchro phasor measurement devices monitor status of nodes in power grid at the synchronized trigger of high-precision clock, and send the information to the service centre, so that achieve the overall dynamic observation of power grid. This thesis mainly study on the synchronized signal sampling and processing module of Phasor Measurement Unit, and develop the module based on DSP and CPLD.A general introduction is given at the beginning of this thesis. The module is divided into three submodules: analog signal acquisition module, synchro sampling control module and data processing and communication module. Detal introduction is given in the following content.Analog signal acquisition module consists of signal conditioning circuit and analog-to-digital conversion circuit. Signal conditioning circuit consists of filter circuit, amplitude adjustment circuit and limiter circuit. Analog-to-digital conversion circuit is developed based on ADS7864.Synchro sampling control module provides a guarantee to the synchronization of the signal sampling. The module generates synchronous sampling pulse using DPLL, and tracking Pulse signal of synchronization module. The development of this module is based on CPLD and Verilog HDL.The development of data processing and communications module is based on DSP chip TMS320F2812. Different ways of data process is compared first; then, an improved DFT is chosen. The development of the arithmetic is based on DSP. The thesis develops two different interfaces: one is for communication with network capable application processor another is for debugging and extension. The former is designed according to IEEE1451.2; the latter is designed according to RS232, which can communicate with PC easily.At last, relative experiments is made, whose results show that the module can complete task of signal sampling, data processing and communication, meeting the design requirements.
