Substation Based On Iec61850 Standard Technology Research

At present the substation automation technology has already been getting the significant technology breakthrough and notable economic results in many sides. But also we have a few problems including unconformity standard, transformation difficulty and information disorder etc. in actual application. Information collection, transmission and processing of all-digital substation automation will become the inevitable trend.The digital substation is based on IEC61850 standard. By electronic transformers, intelligent devices and protection monitoring equipments connected with network which are built with layers, we can implement information sharing and interoperability between the intelligent equipment in the modernization of the substation. The essential features of digitization substation are intellectualized equipments, network communication, unified standard and model. The result of this research will provide the rational framework and key technical application of substation based on IEC61850 standard. It is reference to the development of power system.This paper analyses the status and limitations of the traditional substation automation systems. Then, IEC 61850 series standard and its characteristics are further analyzed. Also, it analyses the research status and specific applications of the IEC61850-based substation automation systems both at home and abroad. This paper focuses on the digital substation of the application of key technologies. Operating, maintaining and management of power system are impacted on by all-digital substation automation that the article has been explained finally.
