The intervals of the train which the rail maintenance worker can make use of is much shorter than before because of the increasing speed of the train in the recent years. The inspection of pulling string to get the parameters of the rail can't meets the require of the maintain work now. The efficiency of the inspection can be improved by using the Convenient Rail Inspection Vehicle. Also, it can alleviate the fatigue of the rail maintenance workers. It is a tendency to use the Convenient Rail Inspection Vehicle to inspect the rail in the maintain group of the rail bureau.The general concept of the Convenient Rail Inspection Vehicle's design was completed in the paper. The demands of the general performance were given out, also the overall design was completed. According to the overall design, the particular methods to inspect parameters of the rail curve were given out. Two Electronic Total Station and the reference targets were used to fix position of the inspection to get the equation of the rail curve through the rigid body displacement equation. Then the parameters of the rail curve were got according to the definition. It solved the problem of the low precision of the inspection because of the difficulty to find a good fix position before.Also, the concept of the design of the structure of the Convenient Rail Inspection Vehicle was completed in the paper. According to the total design of the structure, the analytical solution of the structure's dynamic response was got by the mode synthesis. And the dynamic inflexibility of the structure was checked according to the analytical solution of the structure's dynamic response. Also, the analytical solution will convenient to check the dynamic inflexibility during the modifying of the product in the later. The subsystem such as the Electronic Total Station, the prism, the inclinometer and the line sensor were chosen in the paper. Also, the analysis of the subsystem and the demand of the installation were given out.
