Car Styling Biomimetic Design

Nowadays, the meaning of car do not stop on the use function, more and more users are more concerned about the psychological feelings and personalized expressions which the car exterior modeling design brought. With the diversification of people's aesthetic vision, the pursuit of fashion, consumption demand and so on, and the gradually improvement of pursuit levels with the design key elements such as form, material, tone, etc. Thus design field with new forms of thinking to innovate constantly inevitable. Germany famous designer Luigi Colani once said: "The design foundation should be base on the truth which the nature of life presented." This sentence means the nature is the source of creativity and design. So some people look into the most simple, primitive nature but which is full of creativity.For automotive design, the birth of the new models that the whole world each year is not mentioned in the same breath with the millions of biological species. However, the design emerge constantly which people obtain inspiration and comprehend by analogy from the nature, some car style even becomes classics. It seems now that many new cars modeling elements from the animal, and this kind of situation has been already more and more general. Particularly with the advent of the time emotional consumption, the spreading extensively of ideas such as ecological environmental protection, return to nature, bionic car shape-designing become an important method to car design innovation more and more. Bionic design is very hot and influential in the field of car modeling, the bionic car modeling is from the nature but higher than the nature.This paper is based on the argumentation and understanding of basic theories and principles of car mode, bionic design method and which of relevant knowledge, further from aesthetics, semantics and others in-depth perspective to interpret the reality of soil and connotation value, so the research of car bionic shape can set up on the basis of higher theory level. The thesis combines bionic examples of car model, analyze the characteristics and innovations which in the car model bionic design, introduce the car model bionic design principle, method and procedure that the theory can offers the suitable car model, so as to hope to instruct the designer how to carry on the innovative design, create the unique characteristic car model design only belong to our national, promote the car competitive power of our country in the international market.Bionic design have provided a new form of design and modeling law for car model. The emotional characteristics communicating with people that living beings embody will give us new enlightenment, which enrich car design with flexibility and adaptability. Bionic car modeling as an unique code liberated the design form inherent of the car modeling design, interpreted the power, speed and even the symbolic meaning of status, wealth, fashion, to convey the entire design concept. Bionic design will become one of the important car model design ways in the future.
