High-pressure Pump High-pressure Common Rail System Design And Development

High pressure common rail is a new electronic controlled fuel injection system. Application of high pressure common rail system is main measure for diesel engine to meet EUROⅢ, EUROⅣand EUROⅤemission regulations. High pressure pump, which supply high pressure fuel to rail, is a main component of common rail system. High pressure pump would affect the performance of common rail system. Selection of fuel pumping type and supply pump, rail pressure control and adjustment, dead volume's effect on performance of high pressure pump have been analyzed in this paper. A high pressure pump suitable for 495, 4100, 4102 diesel engine which is series-production in China has been realized. The test result shows the high pressure pump driven by eccenter with gerotor supply pump, inlet metering valve driven by proportional solenoid valve and small dead volume can meet 1600 bar common rail system for light diesel engine.
