Shanghai Port Passenger Transport Center To Expand The Study Of Water-related Tourism Projects Passenger Ship Used

As the continual improvement of the life level, passengers has proposed higher request to the quickness, directness and comfort of the transportation. The fast development of the road and air transportation caused the shrinking volume of the water passenger transportation, which the Passenger Transportation Center of Shanghai port also faced in recent years. In order to implement the sustainable development of the Passenger Transportation Center of Shanghai port, developing the water tourism actively will be the only way.On the basis of review of the passenger transportation and water tourism business, this dissertation used SWOT to analyze the environment for the Passenger Transportation Center of Shanghai port to develop the water tourism business. It was found that the Passenger Transportation Center of Shanghai port had the strength of geography, transportation, resource and metropolis, the lag of the water tourism planning and the construction of the city fast traffic network and the lack of excellent water tourism places were her weakness. The fast and continual development of the economy and tourism market, the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and Shanghai Expo would bring the opportunities. The lack of quick response ability, marketing measures and long-term planning of water tourism and the competition from the other port along the Yangtze River were the threats.On the basis of above analysis, this dissertation used the combination forecast of regression forecast and gray forecast to predict the passenger volume of the three main water tourism lines of the Passenger Transportation Center of Shanghai port. The results showed that the passenger volume of these water tourism lines would have tremendous increase.After this, this dissertation mainly made the economic feasibility evaluation to the project schemes of these water tourism lines. The optimal scheme of these water tourism lines had been gained, and the sensitivity analysis also had been made.In the end of the dissertation, some suggestions to improve the water tourism business such as government policy support, the development of the Passenger transportation center of Shanghai Port, the control of risks, the research to the water tourism market and the increase of the marketing measures had been proposed.
