In the process of electronically controlled diesel engine's development and matching calibration, the calibration system is the most effective and necessary tool to realize optimization of diesel engine's performance. In order to modify control parameters on-line and off-line, all electronically controlled diesel engine system have their own calibration platform. Therefore, it can accelerate electronically controlled diesel engine's development and matching calibration process, can shorten development period, and can reduce development costs.Based on CAN Calibration Protocol, which is widely applied in automotive field, the calibration system for electronically controlled diesel engine with intellectual property right and universal applicability was developed. The following research jobs have been finished:1. Based on the profound understanding of CAN Calibration Protocol and CAN bus communication, and taking the actual application target into consideration, the child serial communication protocol for electronically controlled diesel engine calibration system was formed.2. CAN driver and CCP driver were designed. CAN driver for the calibration system was designed with low-priority interrupt, which realized real-time communication between the calibration system and ECU as well as the main application's real-time interrupt. CCP driver was designed with modular programming method, which enhanced the program's accessibility, versatility and portability.3. The calibration platform was designed. A friendly human-machine interface was designed by LabVIEW, and CAN frame transmit driver was designed by VC++. The multi-task management platform was designed with multithread technology, which realized synchronization between real-time communication and dynamic refreshment of the interface. Real-time monitor and on-line calibration function of the calibration system was designed with modular structure, which realized real-time monitor and online calibration.4. Taking GD-1 six-cylinder electronic unit pump (EUP) diesel engine as module, real-time monitor and on-line calibration tests of the calibration system for electronically controlled diesel engine have been done. Through road tests, the calibration system achieved exact and rapid data communication, real-time interface refreshment, convenient data on-line rewriting, and FLASH memory on-line erasing.The successful development and application of calibration system greatly improved the accuracy of control system and the efficiency of development.
