Flat-pipe belt conveyor is a kind of new belt conveyor developed from ordinary belt conveyors. It has the advantage of the ordinary belt conveyors and has the advantage of sealed-up run, sharp inclination transportation, three-dimensional curve, custody transportation and prevented the conveyor belt reverses. At present, this kind of belt conveyor is not produced, the research of the transportation mechanism and the parameter are seldom reported about the flat-pipe conveyor in China. Therefore, the article has conducted more thorough research to the transportation mechanism of the flat-pipe conveyor and can build a better foundation for the study and development of this kind of new belt conveyor.This article applies differential elements shaping theory to carry on the shaping analysis of transition segment, and deduces shaping formula on transition segment of flat-pipe belt conveyor. It shows the space simulation image and by means of geometric analysis of belt deformation in transition segment, it gives the calculating method of the flat-pipe belt conveyor transition length with considering the allowable belt strain and specific elongation.On the differential model of conveyor belt unit as a viscoelastic body in sluggish theory, it establishes the relationship between the energy losses and work done by resistance, relates the total energy change and variation of loads and moment. It resolves the indentation rolling resistance, flexural resistance of belt and bulk solids, so are the main resistance coefficient and the influence of its factors.This article analyses the flexibility transport and shake of the belt in the flat-pipe belt conveyor, and it's very significant to the enactment of the soft-start equipment for analyzing the flat-pipe belt conveyor to start the process to move the load.Analyses the reason why the belt of the transition segment is longitudinal rip. Designs a new electromagnetic induction type monitoring system for longitudinal rip of rubber belt was developed. By incessantly monitoring the working state of conveyor belt, the monitoring system will stop conveyor immediately and give out an alarm when the longitudinal rip happens, thereby losing caused by the accident can be reduced.
