The research in this thesis is to design the UAV's(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)flight control law based on PID control strategies and to develop the platform of Real-Time simulation. The research has four major components. The first component introduces the development of a non-linear, six degree of freedom model and linearization. Second component describes the classic PID and intelligent PID control strategies which applied to the design of the UAV's flight control law. The third component covers the process to design the platform of Real-Time simulation,using the marketed xPC Target Rapid Prototyping System from The Mathworks, Inc. The ground test results are presented in fourth component to conclude this study.The results shows that the design approach in this thesis is useful to the research of UAV's flight control system.
