Along with the rapid development of civil aircraft industry in our country, and the electronic equipments which on-board are more and more complex, the workload of the maintenance services becomes more and more heavy; therefore the traditional manual way to diagnose the breakdown on the aircraft has served the purpose with difficulty. Using of the advance automatic test system of aero facilities based on computer and artificial intelligence, the system of aero electronic facilities can be tested and diagnosed, it is an important means to recover fleetly and keep the reliability and security of the system for a long time.On the base of the fault diagnosis system of Audio Control Panel 2788 which is the most important components of the Audio Control System. Because there is much less reference about the Audio Control Panel, at the same time, with limited fault diagnosis experience, how to fully utilize current fault knowledge to locate the fault accurate, has become a key factor in this paper for study.At first, this paper introduces the function, characteristics, general operation, operating principle, inside circuits, software description and so on. In the condition of the analyzing and concluding the production inland and out, it is put forward that the whole solving project of the synthetically fault diagnosis Audio Control Panel 2788. Analyzing the characteristic of airborne electronics breakdown, the expert system is a system which simulates the experts' mentality and work flow to carry on the breakdown diagnosis, and unifies the experience knowledge of the experts with the theory knowledge in technical manual, the inference from rule-based reasoning with the inference from the diagnosis tree.We analyzed the knowledge characteristic of this expert system, chose the suitable knowledge expression method, and then established this expert system knowledge library.
