Recently, lime-fly ash stabilized aggregates mixture has been applied widely in many road engineering for its excellent and economical pavement performance. On the base of many literatures, the paper analyses the effect of lime-flying ash mortar on lime-fly ash stabilized aggregates, studying the proportion of lime-flying ash mortar. At the same time, the effect of fine aggregates gradation controlled on the pavement performance of both lime-flying ash mortar and lime-fly ash stabilized aggregates are analyzed.Firstly, the ratio of lime to fly-ash is confined by the unconfined strength index with using original materials and some ratios, and the effect of the period protected to the relation between ratio and strength is also confined. Secondly, the grade of fine aggregates is calculated by K method. Thirdly, the ratio of the lime-fly ash to fine aggregates is also confined by the test of unconfined strength. Fourthly, the suited ratio of lime-fly ash mortar to coarse aggregates under the condition of both controlling fine aggregates and uncontrolling fine aggregates is confined by the volume method. At last, the proportions of both lime-fly ash mortar and lime-fly ash stabilized aggregates mixture are confined. The orthogonal experimental study is presented on the suited composing of lime-fly ash mortar. The best experimental project is selected in the experiment. Simultaneously, the distinct effect of every factor is studied in the paper. In this text, on the base of gradation design, the pavement performances of lime-fly ash stabilized aggregates and lime-fly ash mortar under controlling fine aggregates gradation are studied, and contrasted with the mixtures which are under uncontrolling fine aggregates gradation, including mechanical performance, stableness, anti-brushing performance, the anti-crack performance, and drawing the conclusion of controlling fine aggregates gradation.
