Public Transport Hub Location Model

In macroscopical sight, the ideal public transit network should be the excellent combination of public transit hub and line. Public transit hub is one of the important constituent elements of urban public transit system. In this paper, we mainly research the public transit hub location model.The usability of public transit hub location model is to choose the locations of public transit hub in the public transit network. At first, this paper proposed the guideline of hub location problem. Then analyzed four kinds of hub location model, they are gravity model, passenger flow model, expense model and shortest arc model. The paper analyzed the basic principles and qualifications of each model, studied parameters' demarcation method and models' algorithm. Finally established the public transit hub location program's appraisal system, including the establishment of appraisal target system and determination of appraisal method.The paper chose the hub locations for Kunming City by using the passenger flow model, and the hub location plan is proved to be reasonable by the program of evaluation.
