The recent development situation and tendency of elevator control system has been discussed. Based on the analysis of the current situation of domestic elevator industry, a new elevator control system has been put forward, which is based on a standardized elevator-used protocol: Device Profile DSP417 based on CANopen profile. The adoption of the standardized protocol can make the products made by the domestic factories used by each other without any change, which may strengthen their overall competitive power. For this, the following work has been done:Based on the description of the relationship between each function modules of elevator control system, a double CANopen-bus structure has been adopted, in which CANopen bus No.1 is used to transmit signals from outdoor call controller, indoor controller and signals of group control, CANopen bus No.2 is used to connect the Absolute-value Encoder and Frequency Converter.According to the double CANopen-bus structure and the basic function of elevator control system, the hardware of main controller and outdoor call controller has been designed. The main controller uses the LPC2292 as the CPU. This controller mainly includes CANopen bus interface, Ethernet interface, USB interface, Chinese character LCD modules interface, etc. the outdoor call controller uses the ATmega8 as the CPU. This controller mainly includes LED Display and CAN interface extended by using MCP2515 and MCP2551.Under the guidance of CANopen protocol, the specification of Device Profile DSP417 has been detailed.Under the ADS1.2 integrated development environment, the ISR, the Menu-Display task, CANopen communication task and Input-Output task have been designed. TheμC/OS-ⅡReal-Time Operating System has been used to manage the tasks. The software of outdoor call controller is developed under the ICC AVR integrated development environment. The simulation of the elevator running process has been tested in order to verify whether the system can run harmoniously. In the simulation system, the data exchange between the main controller and outdoor call controller is realized by transmitting PDO predefined by Device Profile DSP417.
