The three-phase asynchronous motor has been applied abroadly in agrieulture,industry and people's everyday lives.However,its probability of occurring fault ranks first in all kind of electrical devices.So, it's very essential to carry reasonable control and protection to the eletrical devices.In this thesis,the research of the asynchronous motor controller with multi-fuctional protection is introduced.Firstly,the fault current characteristics of the asynchronous motor and corresponding relations of fault reasons are analyzed in this paper.Secondly,the motor controller makes the Freescale 16-bit microprocessor as the core. Through this controller, many kinds of ways of starting motor are realized, the protection based on the electric current and voltage are also realized.In addition,CAN,CANopen protocol is analysised,CANopen Safety protocol applied in the Safety-related domain is introduced.For the sake of the reliability of data transmission in industry environment,CANopen Safety protocol has realized on this motor controller.
